Quote / Testimonial:
Here at Carnon Downs Surgery we have been very lucky over the years to have received many generous donations and contributions, from our patients and their families, to our Equipment Fund.
Where is the fund used?
The fund is used to help supply equipment that enhances and makes all our jobs easier. Over the years we had purchased an OSPIC Flow Meter, this meant that patients did not have to travel to Royal Cornwall Treliske for this Urology test.
We had also purchased a Syringe Driver, this is a vital part of patients care when in the terminal stages of an illness and for us to have more than one piece of equipment means more patients can be cared for at home.
The team also use a centrifuge to spin bloods taken late in the day. These machines spin samples of blood at high speeds, using centrifugal force to separate the various parts of the blood ready for collection the next morning.
Non-urgent advice: Every little bit helps!
It doesn’t matter how large or small the contribution – whether we purchase another BP monitor so more patients can use these at home or maybe another large expensive piece of equipment, as they say ‘ Every Little Bit Helps’.
