Be protected against Flu and COVID-19

Our proposed clinic dates are:

Sat 4th October

Over 75s – flu and covid vaccinations will be administered.

Sat 11th and Sat 19th October

All other adults entitled to either flu/and or covid vaccination.  We will also be administering the pneumonia vaccination if you are entitled to receive one this year.

Children aged 2 and 3 yrs on 31 Aug 2025 and pregnant women can be vaccinated from Sep 1 onwards.  We will be sending details and invites to patients on these registers once the clinic dates have been set.

It is more important than ever to be protected against flu and COVID-19. Get your vaccinations to protect you, your families, friends and community this winter.

If you are on our list of patients entitled to receive a vaccine we have already paid and reserved the vaccine in advance so please attend our clinics to minimise wastage and cost to the NHS.

The announced and authorised cohorts eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine in AW 2025/26 are:

  • persons aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed
  • all adults aged 75 years and over
  • residents in a care home for older adults

The announced and authorised cohorts eligible for the influenza vaccine in AW 2025/26 are:

frontline workers in a social care setting without an employer led occupational health scheme

  • all adults aged 65 years and over
  • all pregnant women (vaccine available from Sep 1)
  • children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2025 (vaccine available from Sep 1)
  • those aged 18 years to under 65 years in clinical risk groups
  • those in long-stay residential care homes
  • carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
  • close contacts of immunocompromised individuals

The announced and authorised CHILD cohorts eligible for the influenza vaccine in AW 2025/26 as below. Children in this age group can be vaccinated here from Sep 1.

  • children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2025 (vaccine available from Sep 1)

Please note these children detailed below will be vaccinated in school not at the surgery unless they are in the clinically at risk cohort.

  • secondary school aged children (from Year 7 to Year 11)
  • primary school aged children (from Reception to Year 6)
